@JonSparks I'll second the Left Hand of Darkness. What's up with the dream scene, though? It always kinda bothered me. But the last time I read it (the fourth) it was starting to become more of an endearing quirk than a bother.
@dylanbragg Yes, it does seem a bit out of kilter with the rest. But LHOD was published in 1969 and a bit of hippy stuff was probably obligatory about then.
@JonSparks I have not read Malafrena though. I love Ursula Le Guin.
@dylanbragg Malafrena's very different, but it's a beautiful novel.
