🎭 You Asked for it… More Spoken Word This Sunday, 8/31/25!

My faves we didn't get to. Plus a new hybrid piece... prose breaking out to rhyme.

You guys blew me away last weekend.

You showed up, engaged like crazy, punched YouTube for the replay… Then hit Amazon for copies of the book.

But the best part? Multiple requests for "when's the next one?" (And then there was young Pearl’s request for that Famous Black Fedora.)

So let’s do it again. Right away, this Sunday. Same energy, different poems. Subscribers only. but…

What You'll Hear This Sunday

✨ Fresh pieces from the collection… my faves that we didn't get to last week
✨ One brand new piece… a hybrid piece, prose breaking into rhyme
✨ A different emotional journey

I ain’t promising a weekly series… yet. Just high on your request for a curtain call. Intimate setting. Raw, authentic autistic perspectives. Real talk about struggle, finding our place in this neurotypical world… and moments of, well… autistic joy.

Last week I learned there's a true hunger for authentic autistic voices in our community. Let's keep this conversation going.

Can't make it live? I'll be releasing the podcast version later this week, plus the Amazon special hardcover edition of “every clock is a handgun pointed at my head” drops soon.

Drop a comment if you're planning to come - helps me prep the right energy for the room.

Wear the Mark, by Dean DiMarzo, aka longestsoloever

A song about masking, inspired by the character Gangle from The Amazing Digital Circus. Released shortly after episode 4. The lyrics are incredible.

"Another day, another show with no rehearsal"
"Hard to say what remains when I stumble off the stage. Does the one behind the role still have a face?"

The wellness industry tells us what health should look like, but whose wellness does it really serve?
In my latest piece, I explore how we can reclaim wellness on our own terms, outside of commercialised ideals.

David Gray-Hammond · Reclaiming Wellness From The Wellness IndustryBy David Gray-Hammond

Turn off your notifications, configure & automate Do Not Disturb, utilise apps that discourage phone staring, write, read, breathe, don’t drink coffee, alcohol, vape or smoke after 2pm. Minimise emails. Get at least 8 hours sleep. Put things away. Stop watching news as much; be selective, manage hype. Vote. Create space for your mind & physical health. Touch grass, get your hands in soil, listen.

Unless you’re sharing your identity discovery process with the people as you’re going through it, they don’t have that processing time to themselves, quietly in their own head, to come to terms with that.

So the first thing out of their mouth is often an unintentionally insulting ‘rough draft’, if you will, of the process that they may be willing to go through, but they haven’t gone through it yet.

For many of us, life is framed as a series of leaps; from one demand to the next, from one task to another. But for monotropic minds, those leaps can feel like fractures.

In my latest piece, Tanya Adkin and I explore lilipadding as a philosophy of living: a way of sustaining continuity, flow, and belonging, even in the face of burnout.
