It's time again.

I have an oddity today. This elm was clearly forced to grow in an unusual direction - bent at a right angle just above the ground on one side, twisted and tilted on the other.

There's nothing left now to suggest what caused this, and as it lives in the largest patch of ancient woodland in the area, it may have been that way for a long long time.

I wonder if it grew through a dry stone wall, or something like that?
