There's been a lot lately about companies either miserably backing down and removing Pride stuff, or merely having the empty Love Is Probably Good, Yeah platitudes.
And I remembered this from last year:

Anyway I just bought a storage thing for the garden, and I specifically bought it from Wickes because of this, even though it wasn't the cheapest (still a very reasonable price, mind you, Wickes aren't ripping anyone off). It's not often a company properly gets it right and I am happy to back them.
@RolloTreadway i looked into this Wickes a little more and i def think they're a great example of how to properly commit to supporting "the gays".

however i still dont think any business or capitalist interest has a place at a pride event, just like capitalist interests don't belong at other civil rights events: we wouldn't be here if it weren't for proto-, then modern, companies deciding to force their ideas of gender roles and race onto the world. we cannot be free from these social norms of race and gender until we are free of the institutions that created and continue to perpetuate these ideas.
