Just finished Afterglow by Phil Stamper. It has the same huge problem as the first one: The voices of all the main characters are identical and you can’t tell them apart, despite the chapter headings. I enjoyed it, but I really wish there was more adult books for gay men, especially ones like these two books that deal with friendship and life and realistic queer relationships.

, , . Seven Spec fiction books/series that I adore
The Orphan’s Tales (duology) by Catherynne M. Valente
The Sandman (graphic novel series) by Neil Gaiman
The Fifth Season (trilogy) by N.K. Jemisin
All the Birds in the Sky by Charlie Jane Anders
Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell
The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon
Monstress (graphic novel series) by Marjorie Liu
Bonus Section 1 fiction book: A Tale for the Time Being by Ruth Ozeki
1 nonfiction book: Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl
